Sportsgirl....

After a recent look around Melbourne, I've found that this little one... Sportsgirl have got a whole new shopping experience happening... It's not just about the product! Although in a way it's all about the product. To make this shopping experience rather simple I'm going to label what they're all about...

1. Sportsgirl regualr line. Fabulously different it appeals to your average 16-30 year old!

2. Designer for Sportsgirl. Always random... They're unique individual designers... not your big brand names, which makes evan that more special... They're your unknown talents!

3. Vintage wear @ Sportsgirl... Next you have vintage pieces... actual vintage pieces. Not copies or look - a - likes... they actually source vintage pieces!!!

4. Style me Sportsgirl... I think this is my favorite part!!! That's right you have the option to enter there styling room and be styled!!! Just in case you're so overwhelmed in choice they can cut down the options for you!!!

5. Well if that's not enough you can be amazed by there flamboyant visual merchandising... check out there website... www.sportsgirl.com.au

Shopping at People

Well there's nothing like a little retail therapy to make you feel better... evan if you're feeling good... you can always feel better, so today my shooping ventuee stopped at a relatively new store in my local 'hood' called PEOPLE.

'PEOPLE' carries a massive range of brands from your surf shop styles of 'Billabong' and 'Tiger lilly' to your fashion favorites like 'Levis', 'Mink Pink' and 'Stussy', finally your rare finds like 'toi et moi' and 'the casette society'... a list of brands is available on their website which is definitely worth a look. http://www.thempeople.com.au/

The feel of the store is great, vintage stadium seats for try-on chairs, fridges for sunglass displays and a generally creative visual merchandising display. It's a one-stop shop with everything you could need day to night, casual to work, clothing to accessories. Each item has somthing different about it that doesn't leave you wearing that 'branded' feeling!!!

At the moment the store is a one-of-a-kind and only in Sunbury. It definitely has the potential to expand but for the moment it's my lucky find and will have my on-going purchasing power!!!

As for my purcahses. As you know it's getting cold 'down-under' here and although it's nothing like the cool in Canada, we like to support our winter folk 'in the fashion sense'. And so, I've jumped on the 'jegging' trend, my find are quite unique, a grey denim look, cropped length with buckle detail. Remember people jegging or leggings do not show your butt!!! A top should always cover it, number 1 rule if you choose to go with this trend!!! My next find was a velour floral printed dress with a full-length zip down the front, great for work to drink type days!!! I picked up a few other things too!!!

Beautiful Arizona

Hello!!!
I just got home from beautiful Arizona!!It was a last minute trip and it was much more than I had ever expected! So much beauty and so much to do! To start, I didn't know that there was so many mountains, and snow!! And the cacti and dessert plants were amazing! The valley (Phoenix area) is where it is hot hot hot, and then mountains surrounding the valley offer amazing views and an incredible out doors life. And the great thing about AZ is that it is only a hour drive to Vegas, Mexico, LA, and Colorado. Talk about being in the hub of all the action!

My Sister and I by a giant cactus!

Can't wait to go back!

Puppy Love

Hello everyone!
So I am deep into exam study mode, but decided to come up for air and let you know about the new addison to the family!
I would like you to meet, Coco!

Coco is a teacup pomeranian and she is 2 months old and 2 pounds. What makes this even more is amazing is that fact that Coco's sibling, Sir Winston, was adopted by my sister Candice!! We couldn't stand the idea of separating them.

These guys are just delightful! They are bundles of joy and love!!
Thanks to Coco, I have an excuse to take a break from the books and go outside for walks! And let me tell you, its GORGEOUS outside!! And this little fur ball can run!

But I had better continue studying ! Ta Ta for now!

Getting it right...

So, as those multiple hot days here fade into longer nights, the cool is starting to set in... This means a whole new fashion wardrobe for me!!! One company that is getting it right this winter, specialising in lounge and sleep wear is no other then the great Aussie brand Peter Alexander.

Their store is unique; one step beyond the pink doors welcomes you to a whole new world of creativity, but once past the Visual Merchandising, there is a product... Peter Alexander's designs are both original and comfortable, from PJ pants with leg warmers attached, to oversized bed shirts, jumpsuits, over the knee socks, scarves with pockets and robes with hoods... I'll let the pics do the talking...

My favorite part is the fact that you can use many pieces for day to day wear, which I plan to do for this season!!! I suggest you check out www.peteralexander.com.au

Winter FASHION is upon us down under, and so there are plenty more must haves I'll keep you updated on very soon...
