SOOS Rocks!!!

I would like to introduce you to my dear friends Jane and Bryn of Soos Rocks!!!
Heres Bryn with Aaron Carter!

And Jane with singer Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran!!

The jewellery is gorgeous, trendy and fresh!! The ladies of the label have such an air of fun, sparkle, adventure and love! They are truly free souls with a love for beauty, life and friendship!

And the celebs love them too!!

I interned with the company a few summer's ago and quickly fell in love with the designers of Soos Rocks. These ladies were so amazing to work with and taught me so much!! I got to accompany them to MTV a few times to help out with the jewellery styling of the hosts.
Here is Jessie sporting Soos Rocks Earrings.

The studio is located in Little Italy, Toronto (lunch time was always a delight!!!). We laughed together, cried together and grew together that wonderful summer, and it fulled my soul with confidence, inspiration, and joy.
You can buy their jewellery at soosrocks.com !!

Shoes......................

As I apolagise for my lack of posting realise I might just have to blame my new shoe fetish for one particular brand. I am lucky myself to own a pair (which you would know as my very high platform brown ones, Camille)! Anyways without further ado the brand is Siren Shoes!!! An Australian company of course they are the most affordable priced, up-to date designs and quality shoe range I have seen ever (in my opinion of course). I've attached a few sample pictures below... I think what makes them great is you get what you pay for... quality materials like leather, a proper arch (I hate those heels that don't curve in the arch) and an up to date impression of the current runway trends. You can see from the pics attached they are design influenced by names like YSL and some of there latest which I was unable to get pics of yet are like Dior and McQueen. The best part is that none of the shoes I've featured are more than $150 (most under $100)... All I have to say is LOVE! Enjoy

Tie-Dye Talkover

In this month's Dazed & Confused magazine, tie-dyed hair made it's second debut (the first being on the Proenze Schouler runway), and I think this is a trend that could really catch on!

We have done the trend of single colour streaks, and full mane, solid, bright coloured dyes, but tie-dyed hair is the new frontier for coloured hair!

I know some of you may be thinking that this new do is a bit to eccentic, but imagine a tie dye streak, or done is shades of brown, auburn and black! Or different shades of brown and blonde! Done right, it could be totally gorgeous for everyday living!
So modernly hip!!

ohhh Australian fashion

So firstly I have found this cool quote...

"overseas, people's clothes indicate the social class they come from. In Australia, clothes are meant to disguise it." Robert Treborlang

Based on that i thought I'd discuss a bit about what Australian's have done to leave their mark on the world of fashion...

no. 1 on the list is none other then UGG boots... Legend has it that surfers developed them becuase they were in need of something comfortable to put on their feet for the trek home from the surf... and so they wrapped masking tape around wool and strapped them to their feet to what was called an 'ugly boot'.

Next would be the Akubra hat... yeah the one with the corks dangling around it... This came about in the days before aeroguard and the swinging corks keep away the flies... Think about how we obtain the corks though???

Lastly I though I should mention the many surf brands that have been developed in Australia... not surprising as we are an island nation, the beach and surf are a big part of the Australian lifestyle. Billabong and Ripcurl are leading brands here in the surf lifestyle industry...

Techno Galore!

Skimming throught the Proenza Schouler spring 2010 collection, I collected some inspiration that matches my passion in music! I love electronic music and I think these frocks are a perfect fit! The mix of electric blues, vibrant yellow-greens and delicious prints make these pieces look like they eminate living light! So Stellar!!

I also found this great Fall Winter 2010 Trend Report! online! check it out!

I am loving the Magic Forest and Expressive Techno Folk trends! I am loving the idea of combining the awareness of technological advancement and conservation of nature. It makes me want to dress up to aid in our future progress!! So so so important today!!

Hope your feeling inspired! (either by loving it or hating it! as long as you felt something!)
