I come from a land down under...

As I'm thriving in 35 degree heat, the call of magpies wake me in the morning and the dry smell of eucalyptus is owe so faint... I know I'm home. I went into the city (Melbourne that is) the other day for my interview with Cue... so far so good, just waiting to hear back early next week). My interview outfit was very stylish (some of my BCBG favs with my grey pin strip pants and red enamel accessories).

After the meeting I had plenty of time to check out whats hot and not here... Am loving the coral colours that are everywhere not just the salmon coral colour but it's like the great barrier reef has come to life... A masive change from the placid colours of fall/winter Canada! One of my fav stores at the moment is Forever New (it would seem to be like Forever 21 but it's not... price points a little higher and quality is a lot better!) definitely check it out. This store also features designs from Lipsy London. Must say quite impressed!!!

Another fabulous thing about shopping in Melbourne is that no one designer or company holds too much weight in the Australian market which is great as you end up with shopping malls (like GPO melbourne) that are simply designer after designer I would say about 30. Veronika Maine, Sherman and Nicolar Gela to name a few. I particularly like Gela as it had a 20's revival for there accessories with the forhead headbands and little cap hats. They also kept the strong shoulder theme going with the Boat neck line (very clever I though as it's too hot to wear anything here, evan with a cap sleeve)...

My shopping... well Gladiator sandals are definitely in for apparent reason (it's too hot to wear anything else). I also purchased a lovely apricot long top (which is long enough to wear as a dress) from the lovely Sass and Bide designers...

Well I know I'm making you jealous when I say I'm immersing myself in sunshine and colour!!! But must say it's a very pleasant change!!!
